While your blog or website should be your main focus of attention, social media can play a big part in increasing your site’s audience. And, it’s very easy to connect your WordPress site to your social media accounts—whether it’s Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, and so forth. There are several ways you can connect the two.
Many of the newer WordPress themes have social media interfaces included. In this case, you just need to enter your social media account in the theme options section and the corresponding buttons (Facebook like, Tweet, etc.) will appear in your post or pages. If your theme doesn’t have this option, you can always find a plugin that will do the job. I like the Social Web Links plugin by DezineAppz which I use on some sites. It’s really easy to set up and gives you some great looking icons. Lastly, you can probably also find some cool widgets from your favorite social media site itself.
Leveraging social media can be a great strategy to gain more visitors to your site. And if you have a WordPress blog, it doesn’t take a lot of time to set up nor does it require any programming on your part.
