For those photographers in the Southern California area, don’t forget about the Pro Photo Expo Conference which will be held August 23-25 at the Pasadena Convention Center. This event is presented by the Professional Photographers of California group. You don’t have to be a member to attend the conference—though I believe you get a discount if you are.
Among the events at the Pro Photo Expo are educational sessions, print competitions, and the expo trade show. At last year’s event, which I attended, there were some great sessions that included Adobe Lightroom Training, Marketing Your Photography Business, and Pet Photography. This year, there are sessions covering portrait photography, weddings, the business of photography, the creative process, and more.
The expo trade show is a great opportunity to take a look at some of the latest photo equipment, get answers to your questions from the reps, and take advantage of special show deals on all kinds of products to help your photography business succeed. Some of the companies that will have booths at the show are Canon, Leica, Sigma, Tamron, and Samy’s Camera.
What I like about the Pro Photo Expo is that it is just the right size. There are plenty attendees that you can network with, but there is also plenty of room for you to get around and experience everything at the show. For more information and to register for the event, see the conference website.
