With time management being such a big factor in all of our lives these days, you may or may not be aware that WordPress can help you make the most of the time you spend working on your photo blog, and also help to give you more time to take photos or do anything else you’d like. If you haven’t yet utilized the scheduling functionality of WordPress, you’ll be please to know that it is very easy to use and lets you create new content for your website at your convenience and post it whenever you want to.
To use the WordPress scheduling feature, create a post or page and then locate the Publish section on the right side of the dashboard.
By default, WP publishes a post immediately. By clicking on the “Edit” link next to “Publish immediately”, you can specify the exact date and time that you want your post published and visible on your site.
You can go back and change the publish date at any time. For example, if you’ve scheduled a post to be published at a future date and you decide you’d like it to appear immediately, just change the schedule date to sometime in the past. When you click Update, the post will then appear.
There is also a great plugin called Editorial Calendar you can use that will help you to manage all of your scheduled posts.
Scheduling your photo blog items allows you to create multiple posts at one time and have them released to the public at different intervals so your website can have fresh content for return visitors. For example, you could create a series of photo blog posts and have one published per day for the next two weeks.
Best of all, by using the scheduling feature in WordPress, you can utilize your time more efficiently while providing great content for your audience.
